PR Conversations is a website that is based around The Public Relations career choice. In most cases when students graduate from college they are face with the challenge of finding meaningful employment. The job market has changed in the last decade, due to the Internet and social media. Students that are planning for a career in Public Relations, Corporate communications, or marketing must be prepared for the competition in this field of study. PR Conversation understands the challenges individuals face, therefore they put together website that consist of interviews of Conversations in Public Relations with industry leaders to give students some job- winning advice and strategies.

Industry leaders, Mary Fletcher Jones and David Hyson of Fletcher Prince, produced “Conversation in Public relations” as a service to the PR Relations professionals. This website shares advice on using social media, job interview do’s and don’ts and even how to handle rejection in this competitive field. Conversation in Public Relations has an interesting focus. Although many of students are trained to become successful in the communication field there are still guidelines and procedures to getting to the next step after the interview process. PR Conversations did an interview with Rachel Dicaro Metscher; she gave advice for interviewing in the PR field. Rachel Metscher pointed out the fact that, when interviewing straight from college don’t focus so much on you grades and accomplishments in school, but rather the quantitative value that you learned from college experience. Mrs. Metscher pointed out the fact that most employers want key players that are able to bring value to the company. According to this interview it is also important to have a positive social network presence with documented social media projects. The “Conversations in Public Relations” website is a great source for public Relations field updates and creative groups that are communication based. PR conversation website has been a awesome tool for my PR Job search. Please comment and let me know if it was helpful to you as well.
